The TV3 news station has dedicated a report to the IDIBGI Biobank explaining the biobank’s essential work to advance the research into widespread diseases. The programme has also announced the start of the collection of samples (blood and derivatives, urine…) from patients who suffer any type of dementia to create a new collection that will be made available to the scientific community. In the counties of Girona, 13 cases of dementia are diagnosed for every thousand patients over 65 years old.
